BRI has once again demonstrated its role as the main driver of national housing sector financing. This is reflected in the achievement of People’s Business Credit (KUR) Perumahan disbursement, which has exceeded the unit target set by the government in the 3 Million Homes Programme for 2026. Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait, gave special appreciation for BRI’s contribution, stating the bank has shown the best performance in KUR Perumahan distribution. “In the past week, we have discussed KUR twice with the President. The first was in Hambalang last week, and the second was reported yesterday in a briefing by the Coordinating Minister regarding KUR. The highest achievement of all KUR is KUR Perumahan, and the highest performance for KUR Perumahan is BRI’s,” said Maruarar. BRI President Director Hery Gunardi revealed that as of July 2026, BRI’s KUR Perumahan disbursement realisation reached Rp10.6 trillion, or 88.3 per cent of the Rp12 trillion target set by the government. In terms of units, the achievement reached 77,592 units, or 167 per cent of the 46,230-unit target. “For KUR Perumahan itself, BRI’s achievement is approaching 89 per cent. Therefore, the future target will also be increased,” Hery stated. Beyond KUR Perumahan, BRI is also accelerating the distribution of Prosperous Home Ownership Loans through the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) scheme. As of 20 July 2026, BRI’s FLPP realisation reached 19,075 units. Data shows BRI holds a strategic share in the 3 Million Homes Programme, with a KUR Perumahan target of 46,230 units out of a national target of 88,535 units, representing a 52.2 per cent share. In terms of ceiling, BRI’s contribution accounts for 24 per cent of the total national target of Rp50 trillion. Furthermore, BRI has taken a significant portion of the overall national housing financing programme, receiving a mandate to finance 148,535 units out of a national target of 430,535 units, or approximately 34.5 per cent. Hery affirmed BRI’s readiness to meet the KUR Perumahan disbursement target by year-end. “KUR Perumahan is a subsidised programme. So, the pricing or interest rate given to customers is only 6 per cent per year, or around 0.5 per cent per month. Therefore, the instalments are still very affordable. This has made the public enthusiastic. If we look at it, the disbursement growth is also quite high and I think it will continue until the end of the year,” Hery explained. This commitment reinforces BRI’s position as a strategic partner of the government in supporting equitable access to decent and affordable housing for low-income communities, while accelerating the realisation of the 3 Million Homes Programme, which is one of the national priority agendas.
