Government Opens Registration for 81st Independence Day Ceremony at Merdeka Palace

The government has officially opened registration for members of the public wishing to attend the Ceremony Commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The registration process became accessible on Wednesday (5 August), giving the public the opportunity to experience firsthand the solemn atmosphere of the proclamation commemoration within the Presidential Palace grounds.

Those interested may register online through the official Pandang Istana website. Given the high public enthusiasm each year, the organising committee has implemented a limited quota system that will close automatically once daily capacity has been filled.

Registration is open for three consecutive days, with registration starting at a specified time each morning. The following is the registration schedule that prospective participants should take note of.

In addition to attending the core ceremony, invitees who successfully secure a quota will also have the opportunity to enjoy various arts and cultural performances held in the Merdeka Palace area before and after the ceremony takes place.

To ensure the registration process runs smoothly and quickly, prospective participants are advised to prepare their identity documents and other supporting data in advance. This is important so that applicants do not lose momentum while quotas are still available.
