Government Opens Polling for 81st Indonesian Independence Day Logo, Here's the Official Link
Jakarta - The government has opened a public poll to determine the logo for the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence in 2026. Members of the public who participate will be eligible for prizes provided by the Presidential Palace.
The polling process runs from 24 to 28 June 2026, through the official channel prepared at logohutri.istanapresiden.go.id.
Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya explained that five logos have been curated from a competition organised by the Indonesian Graphic Design Association (ADGI). Following direction from President Prabowo Subianto, the logo can also be chosen by the public.
“So this is a good thing and can involve public participation in the selection of the logo,” said Teuku Riefky at the Presidential Office in Jakarta on Wednesday (24/6/2026).
Deputy Minister of the State Secretariat Juri Ardiantoro stated that the theme for this year’s Independence Day is “A Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia”.
According to him, the government has also prepared 300 prizes for participants, consisting of 100 tickets to attend the 81st Independence Day ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, 100 commemorative souvenirs, and 100 education funds.
ADGI representative David Irianto explained that participants in the logo design process were not limited to members of the association. The initial process involved an open call for all designers to take part in creating the 81st Independence Day logo.
“That’s why there were 124 designers. The process was an open call, open to the general public,” he said.
