Government Opens National Selection for Recruitment of Red and White Village Cooperative Managers, Needs 30,000 People
Jakarta, VIVA – The Head of the Task Force for the Formation of Village Cooperatives (Kopdes) Merah Putih, Zulkifli Hasan, has announced that the first phase of recruitment provides 30,000 positions to fill the roles of managers for Red and White Village/Urban Village Cooperatives spread throughout Indonesia.
The Coordinating Minister for Food stated that the selection is open to graduates of D3, D4, and S1 from all majors, with a maximum age of 35 years and a minimum GPA of 2.75. Registration runs until 24 April 2026 via the official channel https://phtc.panselnas.go.id.
Zulkifli emphasised that the selection process is conducted openly, transparently, and accountably without any fees. The 30,000 Kopdes Merah Putih managers who pass will work under the state-owned enterprise PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, with a fixed-term employment contract (PKWT) for two years.
“After that, it will be further developed; for two years in the SOE. After that, if the handover is exactly two years, they will join the Red and White Village Cooperative,” he said.
Zulkifli added that the programme will proceed in stages in line with the government’s targets. He mentioned that 30,000 units of Kopdes Merah Putih are targeted to be completed by June–July 2026.
The Coordinating Minister for Food stressed the importance of the role of cooperative managers as drivers of village economies.
“The nation calls on its best sons and daughters to be present in villages, urban villages, and fishing hamlets. Let us all oversee it so that those selected are truly the best human resources for an advanced Indonesia,” he said.
The recruitment is coordinated by the SOE Development Agency, supported by cross-ministerial and institutional efforts, including the Ministry of State Secretariat, the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB), the Ministry of Cooperatives, the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, the Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Finance.
