Government Opens Collaboration Space to Elevate Indonesian Music Talent
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Creative Economy/Creative Economy Agency is opening collaboration spaces to elevate Indonesian music talent and enhance their presence on the global stage.
Deputy Minister of Creative Economy/Deputy Head of the Creative Economy Agency Irene Umar discussed collaboration opportunities to boost the international presence of Indonesian musicians during a visit by content creator and influencer Daniel Hermansyah at the Ministry of Creative Economy offices in Jakarta on Friday (20/2).
As cited in a ministry press release on Saturday, Irene conveyed the ministry's commitment to providing platforms for Indonesian music talent to help them enter the international entertainment market.
"We are happy to provide as many platforms as possible. Now that we've been introduced, we have an idea of what the next steps could look like. With Chuseyo's experience, we can explore further possibilities for collaboration," said Irene Umar in the press statement received on Saturday.
Chuseyo Digital is a digital agency specialising in K-pop. Daniel Hermansyah, the agency's director, noted that numerous Indonesian talents have already debuted as members of idol groups in South Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan.
As examples, he cited Carmen of Hearts2Hearts, Kim of VVUP, CLEO of IMETU, Zayyan of Xodiac, Vanesya and Via of NWHI, Dita Karang, Loudi, and Dinda of Secret Number in the K-pop music industry; Grace of HUR+ in Taiwan; as well as Cindy and Diva of KLP48 in Malaysia.
"Of course we are proud and want to support them so they can succeed," said Daniel.
"Hopefully more young people will be able to follow in their footsteps," he added.
The Ministry of Creative Economy views digital creators as a vital element in efforts to develop the national creative economy ecosystem.
Cross-border collaborations involving digital content creators are expected to expand networks, strengthen promotional efforts, and open opportunities for players in the national creative industry.
