Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the Government Communication Agency (Bakom RI) Muhammad Qodari stated that the government is not complacent despite several survey results showing high levels of public satisfaction and trust in the administration of President Prabowo Subianto. In a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, Qodari said the survey results reflect the effectiveness of various programmes implemented by the government during nearly two years of President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership. “The figure of 70 percent is quite good, although we certainly should not be complacent. It remains feedback for all of us,” he said. He was referring to a Poltracking Indonesia survey which showed that the level of public trust in the Prabowo administration reached 74.2 percent from 1,220 respondents, while the public satisfaction rate stood at 72.2 percent. He assessed that public opinion surveys are also necessary as evaluation material for the various programmes the government has run. “I myself previously worked for a polling agency. So, I fully understand that surveys are needed to serve as a mirror for all of us, for the government to see the responses and appreciation the public gives to government programmes,” he said. Qodari added that public support is a crucial element for the government in carrying out various development programmes. According to him, this support serves as an impetus for the government to continue working to improve conditions and enhance public welfare.
