Government Needs One Month to Vacate Hotel Sultan

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi has given an update following the execution of Hotel Sultan on 18 June 2026. The property is currently being vacated.

“The evacuation process is under way, as we agreed that it will take roughly one month to empty out the assets,” Prasetyo told reporters at the Parliamentary Complex on Wednesday (15 July 2026).

As for handing over operations to Danantara, in this case Injourney, discussions are still ongoing.

“We are in the process, and have held several meetings with colleagues from Danantara, so that in future the hotel can be managed more optimally, just as last year the JCC contract expired and we did not renew it — and it turned out that significantly increased our non-tax state revenue (PNBP),” he said.

During a meeting with Commission XII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Prasetyo explained that the future use of Hotel Sultan is still being finalised with Danantara. He hopes that the change in management will further increase state revenue.

“We have been and are still coordinating with Danantara to redesign the management of the Hotel Sultan complex and its surrounding area so we can optimise its use, and we hope this will also add to state income,” he said.
