Government Needs One Month to Vacate Hotel Sultan
Minister of State Secretariat Prasetyo Hadi has provided an update following the execution of Hotel Sultan, which began on 18 June 2026. The process is currently in the vacation stage. “We are now in the process of vacating, because we have agreed that it will take approximately one month to vacate the assets,” Prasetyo told reporters at the Parliament Complex on Wednesday (15/7/2026). Regarding the handover of operations to Danantara, specifically through Injourney, discussions are still ongoing. “We are in the process, having held several meetings with our colleagues at Danantara, so that in the future the hotel’s management can be more optimal. Just as last year, the JCC contract expired and we did not extend it, and it turned out that this significantly increased our Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP),” he said. During a meeting with Commission XII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Prasetyo explained that the new designation for Hotel Sultan is still being discussed with Danantara. He expressed hope that the management transfer would further increase state revenue. “We have been and are currently coordinating with Danantara to redesign the management of the Hotel Sultan complex and its surroundings so that we can optimise its use, and we hope this will also increase state revenue,” he stated.
