Government Launches 'Sapa UMKM' Platform and Boosts KUR Disbursement to Elevate MSMEs

The Ministry of MSMEs has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the micro, small, and medium enterprise sector by focusing on a more integrated governance transformation. As a concrete step, the ministry introduced a digital platform named ‘SAPA UMKM’. The innovation was presented by the Secretary of the Ministry of MSMEs, Loto Srinaita Ginting, during a working meeting of the Association of Indonesian Provincial Governments (APPSI) in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on Thursday, 16 July 2026. “SAPA UMKM is an integrated national MSME service ecosystem platform that consolidates all government services into a single account and one platform,” Loto stated. The platform is expected to serve as a strategic instrument for regional governments, enabling them to more easily map superior commodities and evaluate coaching programmes based on accurate data. “With this data access, regional governments can monitor the development of business actors in their areas in real time,” she added. The interconnected data will facilitate the formulation of programmes and budget allocations that accurately reflect real needs on the ground, while also preventing wasteful spending due to overlapping services. Beyond digital transformation, Loto also highlighted the positive progress in the distribution of Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR), a vital channel for expanding financing access for small businesses. As of 5 July 2026, KUR disbursement had reached IDR 152.8 trillion, or 52.4 per cent of the total ceiling, distributed to 2.4 million debtors. Despite the positive absorption figures, Loto noted that the involvement of regional governments in optimising KUR has not been maximised, even though the mechanism for proposing potential recipients through the Programme Credit Information System (SIKP) is already widely available.
