Government Hopes Eid will Boost Q1 2025 Economic Growth
JAKARTA - The government hopes that the various programmes provided during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period will boost Indonesia’s economic growth. Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that the government has implemented numerous programmes, including price discounts and promoting mobility through work from anywhere (WFA). In addition, the government has carried out various programmes, including food assistance and social aid. Furthermore, Airlangga also conveyed an Eid message during this Lebaran moment. “We have fasted for 30 days, and certainly the meaning of this victory is also related to the economy,” he said. “Happy Eid al-Fitr, forgiveness for both physical and spiritual, and in this atmosphere, we certainly hope to face the upcoming oil crisis turmoil together,” he stated. “Hopefully the world will be more peaceful,” he said when met at the Open House at the residence of Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3/2026).
