Government Has Disbursed IDR 11.16 Trillion in Civil Service Holiday Allowances
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has stated that the realisation of Tunjangan Hari Raya (THR) holiday allowance distribution to state civil apparatus (ASN) personnel as of 10 March 2026 reached IDR 11.16 trillion. This amount represents 20.3 per cent of the total THR budget allocated by the government, which stands at IDR 55 trillion.
“As of 10 March, it is IDR 11 trillion,” said Purbaya when met at his office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
The Ministry of Finance has prepared the full THR budget. However, several ministries and institutions have not yet submitted budget disbursement applications to the Finance Ministry. According to him, THR funds will be disbursed immediately after applications from work units are received and documentation is declared complete.
The realisation of IDR 11.16 trillion in THR has been paid to 2,076,377 employees, comprising IDR 6.1 trillion in THR for civil servants (PNS) distributed to 825,928 employees and IDR 752.82 billion for contract-based government employees (PPPK) paid to 295,054 employees.
Additionally, THR payments for members of the Indonesian National Police reached IDR 1.8 trillion for 461,119 personnel. Meanwhile, THR allowances for Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) soldiers totalled IDR 2.23 trillion, paid to 452,874 personnel.
The government also disbursed THR for non-civil servant government employees (PPNPN) amounting to IDR 153.42 billion for 39,486 employees. Overall, 8,279 work units from ministries and institutions have carried out THR payments.
Meanwhile, THR payments for retirees as of 9 March 2026 have reached IDR 11.44 trillion for 3,618,884 pensioners, representing approximately 94.63 per cent of total recipients.
In detail, PT Taspen distributed IDR 10 trillion to 3,115,324 pensioners, approximately 94.02 per cent of total recipients. Meanwhile, PT Asabri distributed IDR 1.44 trillion to 503,560 pensioners, representing approximately 99.13 per cent of recipients.
The realisation of THR payments for regional government civil servants (ASN daerah) as of 9 March 2026 was recorded at IDR 127.6 billion for 16,848 employees. This disbursement has only been carried out by three regional governments out of a total of 546 local governments in Indonesia.
The government has allocated a total THR budget for Hari Raya 2026 of IDR 55 trillion. This value represents an increase of approximately 10 per cent compared with the previous year’s budget, which reached IDR 49 trillion.
The budget has been allocated for 2.4 million central government civil servants, including TNI soldiers and police members, totalling IDR 22.2 trillion; approximately 4.3 million regional government civil servants totalling IDR 20.2 trillion; and 3.8 million retirees totalling IDR 12.7 trillion.
