Government Forms 5 New Task Forces, Accelerates Coretax-Civil Servant Data Integration

The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform is accelerating service integration within the Digital Government ecosystem by strengthening cross-agency synergy. This strategic move was realised through a Follow-up Coordination Meeting on Collaboration with the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, held at the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform office and led by Acting Deputy for Government Digital Transformation Cahyono Tri Birowo last Thursday (02/07/2026). During the meeting, the Directorate General of Taxes outlined an action plan to strengthen national tax compliance, including optimising the Taxpayer Status Confirmation mechanism in public licensing services. The Food and Drug Monitoring Agency has been officially agreed upon as the pilot project for implementing this mechanism. To enhance tax competency and literacy within the government, the tax authority is also pushing for the integration of taxation materials and the operationalisation of the Coretax system into the national e-learning ecosystem for civil servants. Cahyono stated that, in line with the Minister’s directives, the ministry will consistently support service integration within the digital government ecosystem. He noted that digital government is a transformation framework utilising data and digital technology to improve public service quality in pursuit of national development goals. The transformation focuses not only on digitising services but also on building systems that safeguard data security and enhance public service quality. The ministry is involved in forming five cross-agency task forces to ensure all action plans proceed tactically and are implemented effectively. These task forces cover the preparation of the Taxpayer Status Confirmation, e-learning on taxation substance integrated with the National Institute of Public Administration’s modules, civil servant, military, and police compliance integrated with personnel administration services and Coretax, strengthening Coretax supported by digital government architecture policies, and administrative support. The formation of these task forces aims to prevent inter-agency thinking from being hampered by outdated regulatory boundaries, focusing instead on achieving comprehensive national digital transformation targets. Cahyono added that digital transformation is not only about smarter systems but must also instil empathy into public services, creating an inclusive, interoperable, and sovereign digital foundation for all Indonesian citizens.
