Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is expanding digital market access for businesses affected by disasters in Aceh through digital marketing support and logistics-service partnerships to accelerate business recovery.

Ari Anindiya, the ministry’s Deputy Assistant for Micro Enterprise Marketing and Digitalisation, said in an official statement in Jakarta on Wednesday that post-disaster recovery requires more than restoring production capacity. It must also include wider market access so businesses can begin earning income again.

The initiative is being delivered through the Sumatera Bangkit Bersama MSME landing-page facilitation scheme, held as part of the Klinik UMKM Bangkit programme in Banda Aceh on Tuesday (13 October).

Through the scheme, MSMEs receive support to create digital shops integrated with marketplace platforms, present their products more attractively and reach customers beyond their previous markets.

“We want digitalisation to deliver tangible results for MSME entrepreneurs. Products that were previously known only in their immediate surroundings should be easier for consumers to find through digital channels, opening up more opportunities for transactions and increased sales,” Ari said.

From January to August 2026, the development of landing pages in collaboration with various marketplaces involved more than 4,000 MSMEs and generated sales of more than 45 million products.

Ari said the figures demonstrated the potential of digital commerce to help MSMEs expand their market reach, increase transactions and resume business activity after being affected by disasters.

The digital marketing support is aimed at MSMEs in Banda Aceh and Aceh Coordination Region 5, which covers Aceh Tamiang Regency, Langsa City, South Aceh Regency, Gayo Lues Regency, Subulussalam City, Aceh Singkil Regency and Southeast Aceh Regency.

Alongside expanding digital market access, the ministry is partnering with J&T Express through its Jawara Lokal programme to support business development and the distribution of MSME products.

Under the programme, businesses selected through a joint screening process by the ministry and the Aceh Provincial Cooperatives and SMEs Office receive Rp15 million each in business development funding.

Participants also receive a 30 per cent shipping discount, access to J&T Express VIP services, promotional support and logistics assistance to improve delivery efficiency and extend product distribution.

One Jawara Lokal beneficiary is Silfia Safriani, owner of Keuneubah Endatu in Pidie Jaya Regency. Her business was forced to stop after flash floods in late November 2025, before she began rebuilding it in February 2026.

Silfia said online marketing had helped her business reach more customers. She said sales, which had previously stood at about one box a day, could now reach 100 boxes.
