Government Establishes Special Communication Channel to Address Developers' Complaints
The Ministry of Housing and Human Settlements (PKP) is strengthening efforts to address housing land issues by opening dialogue spaces with developers and establishing a special communication channel to directly accommodate complaints. This step was taken during a meeting with the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and the Anti-Land Mafia Task Force, Jakarta, on Thursday (23/4/2026). The meeting served as a forum for developer representatives and associations to voice various field problems, especially related to land disputes, overlapping ownership, and land mafia practices that have seriously hindered housing development. “Alhamdulillah, the synergy between ministries is running very well. There are concrete solutions from ATR/BPN to meet developers’ needs, particularly regarding housing land,” stated the Director General of Urban Housing at the Ministry of PKP, Sri Haryati. The Ministry of PKP emphasised that the state must not lose to land mafia practices. “Through this forum, developers can directly convey problems, and a special channel is proposed so that resolutions can be carried out more quickly and coordinated,” added Sri. As a follow-up, the establishment of a special communication channel in the form of a group was agreed upon, which will serve as a platform for developers to submit complaints while accelerating problem resolution in a more coordinated manner. The Director General of Land Dispute and Conflict Handling (PSKP) at the Ministry of ATR/BPN, Iljas Tedjo Prijono, affirmed the commitment to accelerating dispute resolutions transparently and measurably. “We are very pleased to discuss with developer friends facilitated by the Ministry of PKP. The problems faced by developers were discussed in a very conducive discussion, and several issues emerged,” said Iljas. “We examine every problem and seek solutions. As long as it is within our authority, we will follow up optimally,” he added. The Ministry of PKP will continue to promote cross-sector collaboration as part of efforts to provide decent, affordable housing free from legal issues. This forum also serves as a concrete step to ensure that every land problem can be handled more quickly and coordinated.
