Government Confirms DSI Not Profiting from One-Stop Export Scheme
Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono confirmed that PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) does not profit from implementing the crude palm oil (CPO) export policy under the one-stop scheme. “It does not profit, I repeat, it does not profit,” Deputy Minister Sudaryono stated at a press conference following a coordination meeting addressing the decline in fresh fruit bunch (TBS) palm oil prices with various stakeholders in Jakarta on Friday, 29 May 2026.
Sudaryono clarified that the government’s policy to regulate coal, CPO, and ferroalloy exports is being integrated through PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI).
The government has coordinated with relevant parties, including Danantara, to ensure transparent and accountable export management. He stated that DSI will act as a managing and supervising company for national strategic commodity exports to ensure a more orderly trade mechanism.
“Regarding concerns about DSI, I have coordinated with relevant parties, including Danantara and reported to the Agriculture Minister (Andi Amran Sulaiman). It was conveyed that DSI is a managing and supervising company that will carry out its duties transparently and accountably,” he said.
Through this explanation, Sudaryono hopes there will be no further concerns from downstream palm oil industry players, particularly refinery and export companies currently active in export trade.
“We hope there will be no more concerns, especially from downstream palm oil industry players, namely refinery and export companies,” he added.
Sudaryono explained the government has set a three-month transition period from 1 June to 31 August 2026 before DSI’s export management policy is fully implemented.
During the transition, the government will establish regulatory stages to gradually transfer palm oil export management to DSI’s mechanism.
The government aims for DSI to fully manage national exports of palm oil, coal, and iron starting 1 January 2027 through an integrated system.
