Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono confirmed that PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) did not benefit from implementing the crude palm oil (CPO) export policy under the one-stop scheme. “Not taking advantage, yes, I repeat not taking advantage,” he said during a press conference following a coordination meeting with stakeholders in Jakarta on Friday (29 May 2026) to address falling fresh fruit bunch prices.

Sudaryono clarified that the government’s policy for exporting coal, CPO, and ferroalloys is managed through an integrated approach via PT DSI. The ministry has coordinated with relevant parties, including Danantara, to ensure transparent and accountable export management. He stated PT DSI will act as the managing and overseeing entity for national strategic commodity exports to ensure orderly trade processes.

“Regarding concerns about PT DSI, I have coordinated with relevant parties, including Danantara, and reported to Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman. It has been confirmed that PT DSI operates transparently and accountably in its duties,” he added.

Sudaryono expressed hope that downstream palm industry operators, particularly refineries and exporters, would no longer have concerns following this clarification. “We hope there will be no further worries, especially among downstream palm industry operators such as refineries and exporters,” he said.

The government has set a three-month transition period from 1 June to 31 August 2026 before full implementation of PT DSI’s export management policy. During this period, phased regulations will be introduced to gradually transfer palm oil export management to PT DSI’s systems. The government aims for full national integration of export management for palm oil, coal, and ferroalloys through PT DSI from 1 January 2027.
