Jakarta — The Coordinating Ministry for Politics and Security has completed construction of 104 permanent housing units built in Kuala Cangkoy Village, North Aceh Regency.

According to a statement received in Jakarta on Friday, the permanent housing was constructed for Aceh residents who lost their homes due to flooding and landslide disasters in November 2025.

Brigadier General Honi Havana, Head of the Bureau for Public Relations, Data and Information at the Political and Security Coordinating Ministry, stated that the housing units are of type 36 (36 square metres).

He continued that the permanent housing has been equipped with various supporting facilities, including clean water installations, electricity, bathrooms, toilets, and household furnishings.

In addition to the housing units, the permanent housing complex is also equipped with one mosque and one community meeting hall, which is expected to serve as a centre for social and religious activities.

The permanent housing units are scheduled to be officially inaugurated by Political and Security Coordinating Minister Djamari Chaniago on Saturday (14 March).

Havana expressed hope that the presence of this permanent housing could improve the lives of flood victims in Aceh. He also hoped that the permanent housing would allow residents to experience the warmth of family gatherings and kinship after going through a difficult period due to the disaster.
