JAKARTA - The absorption of Housing People’s Business Credit (KUR) has shown a significant increase. As of 29 April, the realisation of housing KUR disbursements had reached Rp 14.2 trillion.

Director General of Urban Housing, Sri Haryati, stated that this rise was driven by high demand from the public.

“As of 29 April, we have reached Rp 14.2 trillion. The addition is indeed due to extraordinary demand,” said Sri Haryati in Central Jakarta on Thursday (30/04/2026).

Sri Haryati explained that several banks have recorded substantial contributions to the housing KUR disbursements. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) holds the top position, followed by Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) and Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).

“During the previous socialisation, BRI’s disbursements had reached Rp 7.8 trillion, with an initial ceiling of Rp 8 trillion,” said Sri.

She added that the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) is coordinating with the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to increase that ceiling.

As a result, BRI’s ceiling was increased by Rp 4 trillion to Rp 12 trillion.

Besides BRI, increases have also occurred for other banks. Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), for example, saw its target raised from Rp 350 billion to Rp 1.25 trillion.

Sri Haryati noted that this increase demonstrates that the housing KUR programme has received a positive response from business actors and is considered to provide broad benefits.

For Regional Development Banks (BPD), a significant increase was recorded in Central Java. Previously, the largest contribution came from West Java, but now there has been a shift with a substantial increase in Central Java.
