Government Backs Entrepreneur Creation with MSME Facilitation
The 2026 National Entrepreneurship Festival (PWN), organised by the Tangan Di Atas (TDA) community, opened at the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) on Saturday (20/6). Indonesia’s largest entrepreneurship gathering recorded extraordinary enthusiasm, with more than 15,000 registrants from 118 regions and 29 TDA chapters.
Minister of MSMEs Maman Abdurrahman affirmed that TDA’s spirit aligns with the government’s target of driving national economic growth to 8 per cent under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto. He praised the Tangan Di Atas philosophy, which teaches the value of sharing as a business foundation.
As a tangible form of support, the government announced several strategic programmes. ‘We cannot reach 57 million MSMEs through conventional means. Sapa UMKM is here as a digital bridge between the government and all business actors in Indonesia,’ Maman explained.
Chief Operating Officer of PWN TDA 2026, Mas Djun, stated that the high number of participants is clear evidence that the entrepreneurial spirit in Indonesia continues to grow. He emphasised that PWN is not merely an annual ceremony. ‘PWN is a meeting space for business warriors, a birthplace of collaboration, exchange of experiences, and opens new opportunities that can change someone’s business journey,’ said Mas Djun.
This year is special as it marks the first time PWN has been held at the prestigious JICC, a location long dreamed of by TDA members and founders. In addition to educational sessions, the event features around 100 MSME booths from various sectors and is supported by more than 300 sponsors and strategic partners.
TDA 8.0 President Eko Desriyanto revealed that during his leadership tenure, TDA membership grew significantly from 30,000 to nearly 70,000 members. He also urged all members to quickly adapt to the government’s digital ecosystem.
