Government Assures Political and Security Stability Remains Maintained

The government has assured that political and security stability remains well maintained. Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam) Djamari Chaniago, accompanied by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, and State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Head Muhammad Herindra, delivered a press statement regarding political and security stability at the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs office in Jakarta on Wednesday (5/8/2026). The ministry confirmed that the national security situation remains safe and conducive and urged the public not to be easily influenced by hoax information circulating on social media.
