Government Assures Former Hotel Sultan Employees Will Be Re-Employed After Selection Process

The Vice Minister of State Secretariat, Juri Ardiantoro, has confirmed that all former employees of Hotel Sultan will be given work again by the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Centre (PPKGBK). He stated that PPKGBK is currently conducting data collection and verification regarding the number of former Hotel Sultan employees. “They are currently being registered and verified. Later, the GBK management will facilitate their re-employment,” Juri told reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta on Thursday. Juri explained that the former Hotel Sultan employees will be sorted according to the needs and their respective fields of work by PPKGBK. “Of course, they will be sorted; there are permanent employees, daily workers, and we need to see what fields they have been working in,” he said. Previously, it was reported that the process of vacating and removing goods from Block 15 of the former Hotel Sultan was still ongoing as of Wednesday. The items are being moved in stages to two warehouses in the Cikarang area, Bekasi Regency, based on their type, origin, and characteristics. Kharis Sucipto, the attorney for PPKGBK, stated that the process of moving the executed goods from Block 15 is continuing and is targeted for completion within approximately one month. Meanwhile, Team Mover Coordinator Stefanus Didi explained that the removal process follows a structured system, from labelling and packing to transportation and placement in the warehouse. Each item is recorded so that its origin, type, and storage location can be traced. The items being moved include hotel furniture such as chairs, tables, and sofas, various hotel operational equipment, and restaurant supplies like plates and cutlery. Items with high economic value receive special handling during the packing and transportation process.
