Government announces evaluation of 700 MHz & 2.6 GHz spectrum auction administration

The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) has announced the results of the administrative document evaluation for the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz radio frequency band auctions. All three telecommunications operators have met the administrative requirements, and the announcement stated that after being declared to have passed the evaluation, the next step is the price auction. “The Auction Price stage as referred to in point 6 will commence on Tuesday, 7 July 2026 at 09.00 WIB through the e-Auction system,” read an official statement from Kemkomdigi on Friday. As selection participants, the three telecommunications operators in the price auction stage are required to create a digital signature (e-Sign) on the platform owned by the Republic of Indonesia Money Printing Company (Peruri), namely Peruri Shield. For operators wishing to submit an opinion regarding the results of the administrative document evaluation, Kemkomdigi has provided a space for rebuttals. “If a rebuttal is submitted past the deadline and/or does not comply with the provisions in the 2026 Selection Document for Users of the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz Radio Frequency Bands for the Operation of Cellular Mobile Networks, the rebuttal will be declared inadmissible,” the Kemkomdigi statement read. Previously, Kemkomdigi announced as a form of public transparency that it had completed the document clarification stage for the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequency auction. “We are fully committed to carrying out all stages of this selection by prioritising the principles of transparency, legal certainty, and accountability,” said Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid in Central Jakarta on Thursday (25/6).
