Government and Prosecutor's Office Strengthen Oversight of Indonesia Pintar Programme

The government, together with the Prosecutor’s Office and local government, is strengthening oversight of the Indonesia Pintar Programme in Bandung on Wednesday, 6 May. Deputy Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Atip Latipulhayat stated that this measure is being taken to ensure that educational assistance is delivered accurately to the target beneficiaries. Oversight has been reinforced after several deviations were found in the distribution. The programme targets more than 21 million students.
