Government and House of Representatives Agree to Bring P2SK Bill to Plenary Session
The Government and Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR) have agreed on the draft Bill regarding amendments to Law Number 4 of 2024 concerning the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (P2SK). Both parties have approved that the P2SK Bill be brought to a plenary session scheduled for Thursday, 4 June 2026.
The Chairman of the P2SK Bill Working Committee, Mohamad Hekal, stated that based on the work of the drafting and synchronisation teams, the draft has been compiled consisting of 2 Roman numerals and 1s05 amendment points, totalling 145 articles in total.
“There are 17 key points of content and regulation within the draft amendment to the P2SK Law that have been agreed upon during the working committee discussions,” said the Gerindra Party politician during a working meeting at the DPR Building on Wednesday, 3 June 2026.
Following the presentation of these 17 key points, the Chairman of Commission XI, Mukhamad Misbakhun, requested approval from the parliamentary factions regarding the core material of the P2SK Bill, which was subsequently granted by eight factions.
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, who attended the meeting, expressed hope that the P2SK Bill would support the development, deepening, and stability of the national financial system, as well as increase public confidence in the financial sector. “The Government agrees to proceed to the second-level discussion or the decision-making stage of the P2SK Law Amendment Bill in the plenary session of the DPR RI,” he said.
The 17 agreed-upon key points in the P2SK Bill are:

Performance evaluation of LPS, OJK, and BI by the DPR
Expansion of scope for conventional and Sharia banking businesses
Demutualisation of the stock exchange in the capital market
Margin transfers in financial market transactions
Danantara debt securities
Insurance and Sharia insurance companies in resolution processes
Mandatory traffic accident insurance funds
Exchange for minerals and strategic commodities
Crypto assets
Task force for the prevention and handling of online loans and online gambling
Indonesia International Financial Centre
Handling of bad debts for MSMEs
Investigation and inquiry within the financial services sector and restorative justice mechanisms
Banks under recovery processes
