Government Allocates Rp 635 Trillion for Eight National Priority Programmes in 2027
The House of Representatives’ Budget Committee (Banggar) held a meeting with the government to discuss the 2027 government work plan and budget priorities. The government, represented by Bappenas, revealed eight national priority programmes to be funded in 2027. Deputy for Macro Development Planning at Bappenas, Eka Chandra Buana, stated that investment financing in 2027 will be directed to support the Government Work Plan (RKP) and National Priority Programmes (PKPN). The indicative budget ceiling for the PKPN cluster has been set at Rp 635 trillion. The eight priority programmes and their allocations are: Food Sovereignty (Rp 35.205 trillion), Energy and Water Independence (Rp 35.362 trillion), Education (Rp 347.6 trillion), Health (Rp 36.857 trillion), Downstreaming and Industrialisation (Rp 1.389 trillion), Infrastructure, Housing and Disaster Resilience (Rp 25.122 trillion), People’s Economy and Villages (Rp 178.1 billion), and Poverty Reduction (Rp 154.202 trillion).
