The Ministry of Manpower is set to reopen registration for the National Internship Programme on 15 July 2026. The programme, aimed at recent diploma and bachelor’s degree graduates, will provide a quota of 150,000 participants, an increase from the 100,000 places offered in the previous round.

Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that the government has prepared a budget of approximately Rp 4.2 trillion for the second batch of the programme. “On 15 July, we will open the first batch of registration for a quota of 50,000 people. Shortly after, we will open the second batch for 50,000, and then the third batch for another 50,000,” Yassierli said at the Job Market Centre in South Jakarta on Monday, 29 June 2026.

Prior to the opening of participant registration, companies can upload their internship requirements via the Magang Hub platform starting Monday, 29 June 2026, at 12.00 WIB. Yassierli added that all incoming vacancies will be verified to ensure they match the qualifications of university graduates. The number of interns per company is also capped at a maximum of 20 percent of the total workforce.

Speaking at the same event, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya described the programme as a government effort to expand job opportunities for university graduates, particularly bachelor’s degree holders. Successful applicants will undergo a six-month internship at partner companies with mentorship and will receive an allowance adjusted to the regional wage where the company operates. “They will receive a significant income, ranging from Rp 3.5 million to even Rp 6 million per month, depending on their work location,” he said.
