Government allocates 320 free mudik tickets for Lombok–Surabaya route
Mataram (ANTARA) - A total of 320 free mudik tickets are being provided by the government for those wishing to go home for Lebaran 2026 via Gili Mas Port in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), to Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya, East Java. The Head of the NTB Communications, Informatics and Statistics Office (Kominfotik NTB) and the provincial government spokesperson, Ahsanul Khalik, said the free mudik is realised through a collaboration between the Ministry of Transport (Kemenhub) and the NTB Provincial Government. “Quota of 320 free tickets for the Gili Mas Lombok to Tanjung Perak Surabaya route,” he said in Mataram on Friday. He emphasised that this free mudik programme via sea transport is a form of attention from both the central government and the NTB government in providing ease for residents to mudik from Lombok to Java. “Thus, the opportunity and cost ease for people wishing to go to Java is more open,” Aka, the familiar name of Ahsanul Khalik, said. Aka hopes that the programme can be used as well as possible by the public to mudik and reunite with family in their hometown. He further conveyed that for those wishing to register for the free mudik tickets by sea, they should immediately register with the required documents: photocopies of identity documents in line with a KTP or family card, for adults and infants alike. If there are more than one person in a family, simply attach a photocopy of the family card. Registration must be made in person at the office and cannot be represented by bringing original and photocopied IDs (KTP and family card). For the time and place of registration on Tuesday, 10 March 2026 from 09.00 WITA until finished at KSOP Class III Lembar (Lembar Port), West Lombok. “We therefore urge the public to register promptly and make good use of this opportunity, given the limited quota,” he said.
