Government Accelerates Mud Cleanup for Recovery of Aceh Region

The government is accelerating the cleanup of mud in disaster-affected areas in Aceh as a step towards recovery. Head of the Task Force for Accelerating Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of the Aceh Region, Safrizal, in Banda Aceh on Tuesday (7/4), stated that this activity involves the TNI, Polri, volunteers, and the community through a cash-for-work scheme. The cleanup is focused on, among others, Pidie Jaya Regency and Aceh Tamiang. These efforts are beginning to show results with several areas gradually becoming clean.
