The Ministry of Public Works (PU) together with PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is accelerating the construction of the Bokoharjo access on the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road in the Prambanan-Purwomartani segment to support connectivity to the Ratu Boko tourism area.

Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo stated that toll road construction serves not only as transportation infrastructure but also as a driver of economic growth and regional equity.

“Toll road development always has strategic significance, not only for physical infrastructure but also for strengthening the national economic foundation,” said Dody on Monday (27/4/2026).

The Bokoharjo access is designed as a direct route to the Ratu Boko Palace Site located in Bokoharjo Village, Prambanan Subdistrict, Sleman Regency.

The development of this access is carried out through a route from the Purwomartani Toll Gate spanning about 1.95 kilometres, leading directly to the Bokoharjo and Ratu Boko areas.

This access is targeted to be operationalised during the Christmas 2026 and New Year 2027 period, while also supporting readiness for the 2027 Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic.

Currently, construction work is being carried out in stages. The U-turn construction is estimated to take 6 to 7 months.

Meanwhile, work related to the railway crossing is projected to take 9 to 10 months, in coordination with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI.

Based on data as of 15 April 2026, the construction progress of the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road in the Prambanan-Purwomartani segment has reached 94.8 per cent.

Meanwhile, land acquisition progress has reached 90 per cent and is targeted to be completed in August 2026.

Currently, the Solo-Yogyakarta-NYIA Kulonprogo Toll Road is operational from Colomadu Toll Gate to Klaten, spanning 22.3 kilometres.

The government hopes that the acceleration of the Bokoharjo access will improve connectivity to the tourism area, encourage tourist visits, and open up economic opportunities for the local community.
