GoTo Shares Snapped Up by Danantara, Ownership Still Below 1 Percent
JAKARTA — PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) has issued a response regarding several news reports, including the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 27 of 2026 on the Protection of Online Transport Workers, as well as issues surrounding share ownership by Danantara.
The statement was submitted through a disclosure of information on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) website on Wednesday (6/5/2026).
GoTo’s management explained the company’s position on various emerging issues and the steps it plans to take moving forward.
GOTO Director and Corporate Secretary R.A. Koesoemohadiani stated that the company understands Danantara has purchased a number of GoTo shares through the exchange in an amount less than 1 percent of the total issued shares.
“As reported in the media, we understand that Danantara has purchased a number of the Company’s shares through the Exchange in an amount less than 1 percent of the shares issued by the Company,” the company wrote.
GoTo welcomes the investment as a form of confidence in the business fundamentals, performance, and long-term prospects of the company.
Management also reaffirmed that the company always complies with stock ownership reporting requirements in accordance with applicable BEI regulations.
Since March 2026, GoTo has submitted share ownership reports covering shareholders with portions of 1 percent to 5 percent.
However, in accordance with exchange provisions, this information is private and submitted only on a limited basis to the BEI.
In response to questions about the plans of major shareholders, GoTo stated that there is currently no party that meets the category of major shareholder according to the applicable definition.
“In accordance with the definition of Major Shareholder, there is currently no shareholder that meets the category as a Major Shareholder of the Company,” the company stated.
In addition, to date, the company also does not have information regarding shareholders’ plans related to their share ownership in GoTo.
