GoTo Reports Stable Performance One Month After 8% Commission Implementation

Technology company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), which houses GoPay and Gojek, has demonstrated the resilience of its ecosystem with satisfactory financial performance in the second quarter of 2026, one month after a new profit-sharing commission scheme was implemented. The company recorded a net profit of Rp252 billion in the second quarter of 2026. “On 1 July 2026, the new commission structure came into effect in accordance with Minister of Transportation Decree Number 532 of 2026. This structure applies to Gojek’s two-wheeled transport business, which contributes approximately 7 percent of the Group’s net revenue,” said GoTo President Director Hans Patuwo in a press release on Wednesday. GoTo also recorded an 83 percent year-on-year increase in core Gross Transaction Value (GTV), reaching Rp164 trillion. Meanwhile, the company’s net revenue rose 31 percent year-on-year to Rp5.7 trillion. One month after the 8 percent commission policy was implemented, GoTo revealed that it had to make several adjustments. Consequently, the company lowered its full-year guidance for on-demand services to between Rp1.4 trillion and Rp1.5 trillion, down from the previous range of Rp1.7 trillion to Rp1.8 trillion. However, the company maintained its full-year adjusted EBITDA guidance, supported by the strong performance of its fintech unit, GoPay, whose full-year guidance was raised to Rp1.7 trillion to Rp1.8 trillion from the previous Rp1.4 trillion to Rp1.5 trillion. Hans Patuwo assured that the company’s achievements would be reinvested into the GoTo ecosystem to support driver partners through various Partner Appreciation Programmes, as partner welfare remains a top priority. “As the ecosystem grows, we continue to invest in supporting our customers, including Gojek driver partners, through the expansion of the Partner Appreciation Programme, which includes BPJS Health and Employment, scholarships, and even free Umrah. For us, success is not only measured by business growth, but also by the progress of all parties within the GoTo ecosystem,” Hans concluded.
