PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (BEI: GOTO) has recorded a net profit for the first time amounting to Rp171 billion in the first quarter of 2026. This achievement marks a turnaround from a net loss of Rp367 billion in the same period last year. GoTo’s net revenue grew 26% to Rp5.3 trillion, in line with a 65% increase in core gross transaction value (GTV) to Rp138 trillion. Total GTV reached Rp236 trillion, up 63% year-on-year. Group CEO Hans Patuwo stated that this accomplishment reflects overall business performance improvements. “Achieving a net profit for the first time in GoTo’s history is a significant moment for us. It reflects the team’s hard work over the years in driving revenue growth, managing costs with discipline, and creating real value for our customers, consumers, driver partners, and business partners,” said Hans in a press release on the company’s official website. CFO Simon Ho noted that the performance improvement was supported by revenue growth outpacing costs. “Revenue growth significantly exceeded cost growth in both the fintech and on-demand services businesses,” said Simon. Adjusted EBITDA was recorded at Rp907 billion, up 131% year-on-year. Meanwhile, adjusted free cash flow reached Rp1.3 trillion, indicating fundamental business improvements. The number of annual transacting users increased 22% to 69 million. The company also recorded e-commerce service rewards contributions from Tokopedia amounting to Rp288 billion. GoTo assesses that the utilisation of technology and artificial intelligence is starting to reduce service costs and enhance operational efficiency. For 2026, the company maintains its adjusted EBITDA target of Rp3.2 trillion to Rp3.4 trillion. This projection continues to consider global macroeconomic uncertainties and market competition.
