GoTo Facilitates Free Mudik Travel for Driver Partners and Families to 5 Destinations Through GoMudik Programme
Jakarta — PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia has facilitated Gojek driver partners and their families in returning to their hometowns through a free mudik (homecoming) travel programme called GoMudik.
The programme is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport as an effort to support safer and more planned travel during the Lebaran holiday period.
GoTo has prepared five destination cities for programme participants. Driver partners are dispatched from Pulo Gebang Integrated Terminal to Kuningan, Semarang, Surabaya, Lampung, and Palembang.
“In addition to mudik travel, GoTo also provides return buses from five departure points in the destination areas to facilitate driver partners’ return to Jakarta after Lebaran,” said GoTo Chief Executive Officer Hans Patuwo at Pulogadung Terminal in East Jakarta on Friday (13 March 2026).
He regarded the Lebaran season as holding significant meaning for driver partners.
“We understand that the Eid al-Fitr moment is the most anticipated time to return to one’s hometown and gather with beloved family,” he said.
According to Hans, travel costs during the mudik season often present a challenge for some driver partners. The programme is expected to help them return home with safer and more comfortable journeys.
“Hearing directly from Driver Partners in the field has made us increasingly understand how important the opportunity is for them to go home,” he said.
Government collaboration with the private sector can help expand public access to mobility during the mudik season. “Collaboration like this demonstrates how synergy between government and the private sector can help provide safer, more comfortable, and more affordable mobility,” he stated.
