Gotion Showcases Local EV Battery Solutions at GIIAS 2026, Targets 75% TKDN
Gotion presented its electric vehicle (EV) battery solutions and demonstrated its local production capabilities at the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show 2026 (GIIAS 2026) held at ICE BSD City, Jakarta. The company emphasised that the growth of Indonesia’s EV market makes local manufacturing, supply certainty, and responsive service critical factors for vehicle manufacturers when selecting a battery partner. Gotion currently supplies EV batteries and support services to various brands, including Geely, Chery, Wuling, VinFast, Polytron, DFSK, GWM, and JAECOO. Stephen, a company representative, stated that Gotion’s battery products in Indonesia now have a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) of 50 per cent. According to the localisation roadmap, this figure is targeted to increase to 75 per cent by November 2026. Gotion will continue to strengthen local manufacturing and the supply chain while expanding collaboration with vehicle manufacturers and industry partners. This move aims to improve delivery reliability and local service quality, as well as provide safe and reliable EV battery solutions for the Indonesian market. At GIIAS 2026, Gotion also showcased home energy storage solutions, portable energy storage, utility-scale energy storage systems, and commercial and industrial energy storage. The portfolio demonstrates the breadth of Gotion’s battery technology applications for various needs. Products on display included the Gendome Home 3000 and Home 3.0 for home energy storage, the Go 300 portable power station, the Micro 30 power bank, a portable ice maker with a 246 Wh capacity, the Gotion Grid 5 MWh and 7 MWh models for utility-scale energy storage, and the Gotion Edge X-522 kWh for commercial and industrial energy storage. The Micro 30 power bank and Go 300 portable power station recorded positive sales and received a good market response. Both are designed for daily charging needs, outdoor activities, mobile working, and emergency power supply. Stephen explained that as a battery cell manufacturer, Gotion possesses end-to-end capabilities, from research and development and cell manufacturing to battery system integration. With stable, reliable, and cost-effective battery cells, Gotion is able to deliver competitive solutions for portable power, home energy storage, and large-scale commercial and industrial energy storage. Going forward, Gotion will continue to adapt its energy storage portfolio to the needs of the Indonesian market and promote the use of battery technology in the household, commercial, and industrial sectors.
