GoStudy International and British Council Open Access to UK Higher Education Studies
GoStudy International, in partnership with the British Council, has launched a broadened initiative to enable Indonesian students to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom through the GoStudy GREAT UK campaign. The campaign is designed to connect young Indonesian talent with international educational opportunities whilst providing direct information regarding study options in the UK. This initiative is implemented through educational installations positioned on train carriages and in station areas across Jakarta’s MRT network, particularly at Dukuh Atas MRT Station.
Through these installations, students can gain inspirational visual experiences and access information about various educational opportunities in the UK.
As part of the campaign, a social media competition titled GoStudy GREAT UK has been launched, providing a platform for students to express their academic aspirations. This competition serves not only as digital activation but also opens avenues for genuine support including professional mentoring and financial assistance to prepare for UK studies.
Participants can compete until 28 March 2026 by visiting the campaign installation and creating content in the form of photos or videos containing motivational messages or reflections about small steps towards achieving ambitious dreams. This content can then be uploaded via Instagram by tagging the official campaign account and using the hashtags #GoStudyUK, #StudyUK, and #GREATScholarships.
Gianti Atmojo, Director of GoStudy International, stated that the campaign represents tangible support for Indonesian students to access global education.
“The GoStudy GREAT UK campaign is a genuine expression of our support together with the British Council. Through this collaboration, we want to ensure that every student not only has access to top universities but also possesses the strategic readiness and confidence to achieve their desired academic success,” she said, as cited from a press release received on Monday, 16 March.
The competition is divided into two categories. The GoStudy UK Future Leader category highlights submissions containing personal aspirations to study in the UK or inspirational stories as prospective future students. Five winners in this category will receive 100 per cent cashback for the IELTS test from the British Council following enrolment, as well as comprehensive mentoring ranging from CV review and personal statement assistance to visa application support.
The GoStudy UK Creators category, meanwhile, recognises creative submissions that inspire other students to prepare for international study. Five winners in this category will each receive digital wallet credit worth Rp500,000 and mentoring for university applications in the UK.
Since its establishment in 2021, GoStudy International has been recognised as an independent education consultant focusing on helping Indonesian students access international higher education. Services provided include university selection consultation, application process mentoring, and scholarship opportunity exploration.
One scholarship opportunity that Indonesian students can utilise is the GREAT Scholarships programme from the British Council. This programme offers tuition fee support of £10,000 for one-year postgraduate studies.
For the 2026–2027 academic year, more than 140 scholarships are available across approximately 60 universities distributed throughout England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Several universities providing scholarships for Indonesian students include Lancaster University, University of York, University of Nottingham, University of Southampton, and SOAS University of London.
In addition to tuition fee assistance, scholarship recipients also have the opportunity to participate in various academic and professional activities organised by universities and British Council partners. Through these various initiatives, GoStudy International hopes that more Indonesian students will be strategically prepared to pursue higher education at the global level whilst expanding future career opportunities.
