Hajj pilgrims from Gorontalo Province, part of Flight Group 28 Ujung Pandang (UPG), landed safely at Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Sunday. Group 28 UPG leader Alwin Toma stated that the total number of pilgrims in the group was 393. “Alhamdulillah, the pilgrims are complete and have landed at Hasanuddin International Airport around 15.00 WITA,” Alwin said. According to him, the return journey to the homeland went smoothly and safely, with all pilgrims returning healthy and safe after performing the hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land. The pilgrims from Gorontalo Province will continue their journey to their home region on the same day at 21.00 WITA. “Insya Allah, around 23.00 WITA, all Gorontalo hajj pilgrims from Group 28 will arrive at Djalaluddin Airport in Gorontalo. May the journey back be safe, smooth, and secure,” he said. Ali Lihawa, Leader of Team 19 of Group 30 from North Gorontalo, said the departure of Group 30 UPG hajj pilgrims, totalling 393 people and also partly from Gorontalo Province, is scheduled to take off at 12.20 Saudi Arabia Time (WAS). Currently, all pilgrims are preparing for their return to the homeland. “All pilgrims are preparing their belongings, such as luggage suitcases and cabin bags, as well as the necessary travel documents,” Ali said. The 393 pilgrims of Group 30 UPG are in good health, including 25 from North Gorontalo Regency.
