Gorontalo Hajj Pilgrims from Group 28 Arrive in Makassar

Gorontalo - Hajj pilgrims from Gorontalo Province, belonging to Flight Group 28 Ujung Pandang (UPG), landed safely at Hasanuddin International Airport in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Sunday.

The Chairman of Group 28 UPG, Alwin Toma, stated that the number of pilgrims in Group 28 UPG is 393 people.

“Alhamdulillah, the group is complete and landed at Hasanuddin International Airport at approximately 15:00 WITA,” said Alwin.

According to him, the return to the homeland proceeded smoothly and safely, with all pilgrims returning in good health after performing the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

The pilgrims from Gorontalo Province will continue their journey to their home region on the same day at 21:00 WITA.

“God willing, at around 23:00 WITA, all Gorontalo Hajj pilgrims from Group 28 will arrive at Djalaluddin Airport, Gorontalo. We hope the return journey is safe, smooth, and secure,” he said.

Ali Lihawa, the leader of Group 19 from North Gorontalo, noted that the departure for Group 30 UPG, consisting of 393 pilgrims—some of whom are also from Gorontalo Province—is scheduled to take off at 12:20 Saudi Arabian Time (AST).

Currently, all pilgrims are preparing for their return to the homeland.

“All pilgrims are preparing their belongings, such as checked luggage and cabin bags, as well as the necessary travel documents,” said Ali.

All 393 pilgrims in Group 30 UPG are in good health, including 25 individuals from North Gorontalo Regency.
