Gorontalo DPMPTSP Resolves Licensing Issues for PT Agro Artha Surya

The Gorontalo Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) has successfully resolved the licensing issues of PT Agro Artha Surya (PT AAS), which had been ongoing since 2018. Head of DPMPTSP, Sri Wahyuni, revealed that the resolution was achieved through dialogue involving the Central Government and the company. The statement was made by Sri Wahyuni during the Investment Licensing Coordination and Dialogue Meeting held in a hybrid format by the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM in Gorontalo on Friday, 24 July 2026. This dialogue was a follow-up to the Palm Oil Special Committee’s recommendation to provide legal certainty for the investment climate in Gorontalo Province. Sri explained that, based on clarification with the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM, PT AAS actually already holds an integrated palm oil plantation business licence with a processing industry licence, according to IUP Number 130 of 2013. However, the company must update its Business Activity Number (NKU) in the OSS-RBA system so that a Company Standard Certificate can be issued and Investment Activity Reports (LKPM) can be submitted periodically. In addition to the system update, PT AAS is also required to complete addenda to its basic permits, including environmental approval, Building Approval (PBG), Certificate of Functionality (SLF), and Business Licences to Support Business Activities (PB UMKU). The fulfilment of these requirements must be coordinated with the relevant technical Regional Apparatus Organisations (OPD) to ensure the supply of raw materials and operations run in accordance with regulations. “Through these steps, it is hoped that all of PT Agro Artha Surya’s licensing obligations can be promptly fulfilled so that business activities can proceed according to regulations and provide legal certainty for investment in Gorontalo Province,” said Sri.
