GoPay strengthens financial inclusion, records 600 million transactions per month
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The GoPay digital payment application continues to strengthen financial inclusion in Indonesia, recording 600 million transactions every month from 26 million users.
“Currently, GoPay services have more than 26 million monthly active users with over 600 million transactions each month,” said President Director of GoTo Financial Sudhanshu Raheja, in an official statement received in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He explained that the application is present to meet the public’s needs for practical and affordable financial solutions.
He stated that GoPay now not only facilitates payment features but also various financial services in one lightweight and easily accessible application.
“The GoPay application provides affordable and comprehensive financial services for daily needs. Supported by a simple interface and a lightweight app size, GoPay can be easily downloaded and used on various types of smartphones,” said Sudhanshu.
Through the application, he continued, users can enjoy cheaper prices for purchasing credit and data packages, attractive promotions for various daily needs, as well as free transfers up to 100 times per month to fellow GoPay users or to any bank.
As a manifestation of the company’s commitment to providing easy and secure financial access to the public, they have developed five security steps for users.
Users will be guided to complete these steps in the application to ensure layered protection for their accounts, including through the use of biometric technology.
If all five steps are fulfilled, users will receive a 100 percent safety score meter, which is displayed in the GoPay application.
“We are committed to continuing to provide easy and secure financial services to all communities, while supporting the financial inclusion agenda in Indonesia,” said Sudhanshu.
According to Bank Indonesia (BI) data for February 2026, the volume of digital payment transactions reached 4.67 billion transactions, or grew 40.35 percent year-on-year (yoy), supported by the expansion of digital payment acceptance.
The transaction volume through mobile applications and the internet grew by 9.49 percent yoy and 22.16 percent yoy, respectively, including QRIS transactions that continued to grow significantly at 133.20 percent yoy.
