GoPay Launches Faster Overseas Money Transfers to Banks and E-Wallets

GoPay has launched a new ‘Transfer Luar Negeri’ feature, allowing users to send money to bank accounts and digital wallets in several countries quickly, easily, securely, and transparently from their mobile phones. The service currently supports transfers to Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, India, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand, with plans to gradually add more destinations.

Head of GoPay Wallet, Kelvin Timotius, stated that this service represents a concrete step by GoPay in providing digital financial solutions that keep pace with the evolving needs of the Indonesian public. He noted that sending money abroad can now be done very easily through the GoPay app in a short amount of time. ‘Through the Transfer Luar Negeri feature in the GoPay app, we are simplifying the process of sending money to overseas bank accounts and e-wallets using just one application,’ he said.

He explained that the feature offers an easier transaction experience with a fast process for Indonesians, while complying with all existing regulations to ensure users can send money safely. Kelvin added that the feature provides transparency at every stage of the transaction, allowing users to see all transaction fees before sending and to monitor the transaction status in real-time directly through the app. He expressed hope that the service will be utilised by Indonesians with family members studying or working abroad, making it easier for families to send funds regularly. To mark the launch, GoPay is offering a promotion that waives the administrative fee for a user’s first transfer transaction to an available destination bank account or e-wallet.
