Google Play launches feature to try paid games before purchasing
Google Play has introduced a new feature called Game Trials that enables users to try paid games at no cost before deciding whether to purchase them.
The feature is being rolled out across a selection of paid games on mobile devices and will soon be available on Google Play Games for PC.
Through the Game Trials feature, the game profile page on the Play Store will display a “Try” button. When selected, users can see how much gameplay time is available before they are prompted to purchase the game.
In addition to launching this new feature, Google has announced plans to release more indie paid games in the coming months, including “Moonlight Peaks,” “Sledding Game,” and “Low-Budget Repairs.”
The Play Store now showcases games that have been optimised for computers running Microsoft Windows operating systems. Users can add games to their wishlist to receive notifications when games become available or when they receive discounts.
Beyond AI-powered assistance, users can also view Community Posts on specific game pages in the Play Store to obtain tips or discuss games with other players. This feature is currently available in English for a selection of featured game titles.
