Google plans to integrate Nano Banana into Maps application

Google is reported to be planning the integration of its artificial intelligence image generator and editor service, Nano Banana, with Google Maps, its mapping application.

According to GSM Arena reporting on Wednesday (25 February), this was first discovered by Android Authority through code found in the latest version of Google Maps.

Although it may seem unusual to introduce an image generator into a navigation service, Google appears serious about realising this idea, as it has already implemented the Nano Banana programming foundation within Maps.

Nano Banana could potentially provide new and entertaining stylisation options for locations, depending on user requests.

This would represent the most unusual integration of Nano Banana to date, and those unaware of the feature may rarely use it. However, it could provide an enjoyable way to generate images based on real-world locations.

With the appearance of code strings for Nano Banana now present in the latest version of the Maps application, this feature is likely to arrive in the near future.
