Google introduces Nano Banana 2 to enhance visuals on Google Earth

Technology company Google has announced the introduction of its Nano Banana 2 artificial intelligence (AI) model to enhance visuals for users of the Google Earth service. This AI model is capable of generating custom images using satellite, aerial, and 3D imagery from Google Earth.

According to reports from GSM Arena, to use Nano Banana 2 on Google Earth, users simply need to zoom in on a specific location via the Google Earth website. By selecting the ‘Generate Image’ option and providing a description of what they wish to see, the AI model will create the requested image. For instance, a user could transform the ruins of Pompeii into a bustling Roman city.

Users can also create bespoke infographics to learn about specific locations, such as requesting Nano Banana 2 to provide detailed information regarding the historic Statue of Liberty monument. Furthermore, the presence of this AI model can be utilised for professional real estate planning, visualising projects before construction begins, or simply creating new visuals for a user’s favourite locations. The image generation feature using Nano Banana 2 is now available globally on the Google Earth website.
