Google Cloud has officially expanded its strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia (Komdigi) and regional partners in Southeast Asia to establish an AI startup innovation corridor. This initiative aims to connect the local startup ecosystem directly with the global technology hub in Silicon Valley, USA.

The programme, titled Google for Startups Accelerator: Southeast Asia, is specifically designed to assist startup founders in developing and commercialising agentic AI products. Through integrated technical support and go-to-market (GTM) partnerships, startups from Indonesia and neighbouring countries now have a broader pathway for expansion into global markets.

Veronica Utami, Country Director of Google Indonesia, emphasised that the programme has delivered tangible impacts on domestic innovation. Successful examples include Analitica, which assists hundreds of thousands of students; DayaTani, which optimises crop yields for farmers through AI agents; and Nexmedis, which accelerates healthcare services in remote areas.

“Our collaboration with Komdigi in this innovation corridor will connect more local founders with world-class resources. They can build solutions that support national priorities while addressing the diverse needs of the Indonesian people,” said Veronica.

The Director General of the Digital Ecosystem at Komdigi, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, added that strengthening the AI ecosystem is a crucial step for Indonesia’s inclusive digital transformation. “It is hoped that more Indonesian founders will be able to build digital innovations that provide widespread benefits to society,” he stated.

Participants selected for the latest batch will receive access to various premium facilities to accelerate their business scaling. Registration for the first 25 startups is now open. This intensive three-month programme will be conducted on an equity-free basis and is scheduled to commence in August 2026. This initiative is expected to strengthen Southeast Asia’s position as a trusted global hub for AI innovation.
