GoodStats 2026 Survey: Attorney General's Office Becomes the Most Trusted Law Enforcement Institution Among Young People

Jakarta – The Republic of Indonesia’s Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has solidified its position as the state institution most trusted by Indonesia’s younger generation at the start of 2026.

Based on the latest survey results released by GoodStats, Kejagung leads in first place with a satisfaction rate of 60.3%, surpassing other major institutions such as the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Supreme Court.

This achievement marks a new milestone in the journey of bureaucratic reform within the Adhyaksa corps. Kejagung’s success in topping the rankings reflects high appreciation from Gen Z and millennials for the institution’s performance in enforcing transparent and just law.

In the released infographic, Kejagung, which scored 60.3%, outperformed the TNI in second place with 58.4% and the Supreme Court (MA) in third place with 57.7%.

This phenomenon indicates a shift in the younger generation’s perspective, now tending to place greater trust in independent institutions focused on concrete law enforcement actions.

“These data show that Indonesian youth highly value integrity and courage in investigating major cases. The Attorney General’s Office is seen as capable of meeting public expectations for law that is not sharp only downwards, but also firm upwards,” states the GoodStats report, Wednesday, 6 May 2026.

This increase in trust is not an instant result. Compared to the political indicator data in January 2025 where Kejagung stood at 79% public trust overall, Kejagung’s consistency in maintaining its institutional dignity in the eyes of young people in the first quarter of 2026 shows that the communication strategies and information openness implemented are highly effective.

The younger generation, known for being critical of corruption and social justice issues, has given Kejagung a green report card. This also aligns with the trend note that young people today tend to trust non-political institutions with general satisfaction rates around 70-76%.

This success serves as motivation for the Attorney General’s Office to continue innovating. Focus on handling big corruption cases, eradicating land mafias, to a humane restorative justice approach are strong reasons why Kejagung has now become the “face” of law enforcement expected by the nation’s future.
