Good Practices by Regional Governments Become Inspiration for National Development

The current momentum serves as a crucial foothold to give the highest appreciation for the hard work and dedication of regional governments throughout Indonesia, according to Metro TV and Media Indonesia President Director Arief Suditomo. He made the statement at the 2026 Outstanding Regional Government Appreciation event for the Java and Bali Region. The event, organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs, took place on Thursday evening at the Marriott Hotel in Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta. It served as a form of honour for regions demonstrating innovation and superior performance in development. In his speech, Arief Suditomo highlighted the importance of the regional government’s role as the front line in maintaining stability, security, and public welfare amidst challenging global dynamics. “We believe there are many best practices that have been presented by regional governments that are running fast. This must be an inspiration for all of us to learn together,” said Arief. He added that regional success in finding solutions to various community problems is concrete proof of the state’s presence. These efforts encompass price controls, job creation, reducing stunting and poverty rates, and accelerating infrastructure development and community empowerment. Arief also gave special appreciation for the controlled inflation in various regions. According to him, this achievement proves that the synergy of programmes launched by the central and regional governments has gone well and had a real, satisfactory impact on the community. “We believe there are many good practices held by regional governments that will be an inspiration for us to learn together, not only for other regions, but also through Indonesia’s development as a whole,” he said. It is hoped that this awards event will not only be a ceremony but will also encourage the birth of sustainable development innovations aligned with the grand vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. “Finally, we congratulate all Indonesian regional communities,” concluded Arief.
