Good News for Madrasah Teachers as Kemenag: TPG to Be Disbursed Before Eid al-Fitr
There is encouraging news for madrasah teachers who participated in the Guru Professional Education (PPG) in 2025. The Directorate General of Islamic Education (Pendis) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs has confirmed that the Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG) for hundreds of thousands of madrasah teachers will be paid in 2026, with the aim of disbursement before Eid al-Fitr. Director General of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Amien Suyitno, said that madrasah teachers who took part in the PPG will receive their entitlement once all administrative processes are completed. ‘All of that will be completed before Eid, so that they can start receiving the professional allowance,’ Amien said at the Kemenag Office in Jakarta on Thursday (5 March 2026). He said his office was moving quickly to ensure the welfare of educators. By early March 2026, the disbursement process for the TPG for hundreds of thousands of madrasah teachers across Indonesia had shown significant progress. Amien disclosed that the process of issuing the Statement of Eligibility for Allowance Recipients (SKAKPT) is being expedited. Of the total 405,438 madrasah teachers who already hold a Teacher Registration Number (NRG), the majority have already entered the disbursement stage. ‘We will continue to accelerate the issuance of SKAKPT so that the rights of madrasah teachers can be received on time, gradually,’ Amien said.
