Good News for Governors Across Indonesia, Purbaya Says Regional Transfers Could Rise by Rp90 T
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has opened the possibility of increasing Transfer ke Daerah (TKD) by up to Rp90 trillion next year. He made the statement during a working meeting with the Regional Representative Council (DPD RI) at the Parliament Complex in Jakarta on Monday (22/6/2026). “Next year, TKD is currently projected to increase by around Rp40 trillion, but the range could rise by Rp90 trillion depending on discussions in the state budget. So that room is open,” Purbaya said. Purbaya stressed that the increase figure depends on the deliberation of the 2027 State Budget (APBN) with the House of Representatives (DPR RI). He also affirmed his focus on maintaining fiscal discipline with a deficit below 3%. Previously, the Ministry of Finance reported that TKD realisation had reached Rp306.1 trillion as of 31 May, equivalent to 44.2% of this year’s APBN ceiling of Rp693 trillion. “The TKD we have disbursed is Rp306.1 trillion, or 37.1% of the APBN ceiling,” said Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa during the APBN KITA June 2026 Edition press conference in Jakarta on Friday (5/6/2026). The 2026 TKD itself is lower compared to the TKD ceiling in the 2025 APBN, which was Rp919.9 trillion.
