Good Friday Worship in Karawang Escorted by Police

The observance of Good Friday worship in commemoration of the death of Jesus Christ in 2026 in Karawang Regency proceeded safely and conducively. The security measures implemented by Polres Karawang ran smoothly, allowing Christian congregations to perform their worship with reverence.

Karawang Police Chief, AKB Fiki N. Ardiansyah, emphasised that all series of Good Friday activities at various churches and places of worship in Karawang were monitored securely, without any significant disruptions to security and public order.

“The implementation of Good Friday worship by Christian communities in Karawang Regency today proceeded safely, orderly, and conducively,” stated the Police Chief.

The number of worship locations recorded was 31 churches and 16 places of worship. To ensure security, Polres Karawang deployed 143 personnel distributed across all security points.

One congregant, Johanes, who attended worship at Gereja Pasundan Imanuel Karawang, expressed his appreciation for the presence and security provided by the police.

“We feel very safe and comfortable in carrying out our worship. The presence of police apparatus provides peace for us as congregants. Thank you to Polres Karawang for the excellent security,” said Johanes.

With optimal security, the public order situation in Karawang is expected to remain maintained, especially during the Easter celebration series in 2026. Polres Karawang also urged the public to continue upholding tolerance and interfaith harmony.
