Golkar's Response to Jokowi's Plan to Tour Indonesia

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), plans to travel to several regions across Indonesia in the near future.

Golkar party politician Puteri Anetta Komarudin stated that this is Jokowi’s political right.

“As previously stated by Golkar’s vice chairman, Idrus Marham, this is President Jokowi’s political right,” Puteri told Kompas.com on Thursday (28 May 2026).

“Other parties should respect this choice as part of the democratic process and etiquette,” said the head of Golkar’s election victory department for West Java.

Previously, PSI Central Leadership Council Chairman Bestari Barus revealed that President Jokowi would travel to fulfil invitations from various regions.

“He has indicated Lampung, NTT, and West Java, soon,” Bestari told Kompas.com on Wednesday (27 May 2026).
