Golkar's AMPI Marks 48th Anniversary by Distributing Food Packages to the Public

The 48th anniversary celebration of the Angkatan Muda Pembaharuan Indonesia (AMPI) emphasised the organisation’s direction to be more grounded and closer to the community. The presence of AMPI cadres among the public is intended as a social force that can make a real contribution to the nation and state. This was conveyed by the Chairman of the AMPI Central Executive Board, Jerry Sambuaga, during the celebration held at the Golkar Party Central Executive Board office in Jakarta on Sunday. This year’s anniversary was marked by the distribution of hundreds of food packages to local residents and employees within the Golkar Party headquarters. Jerry was accompanied by Secretary General Robi A Marpaung and several Deputy Chairpersons, including Ravindra Airlangga, Arief Rosyid Hasan, Wa Ode Rabia, Rina Fitri, and Steven Risakotta, along with other board members. Jerry revealed that holding the 48th AMPI anniversary at the Golkar Party office was a commitment to implementing the directive of Golkar Party Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia, who instructed that party secretariats and offices at all levels be transformed into community activity centres. ‘This is concrete proof that AMPI is swift and responsive in carrying out Chairman Bahlil’s directive by directly holding social activities with the community at the Golkar Party office,’ he stated. Jerry said that the 48th AMPI anniversary momentum encourages all levels and cadres in the regions to not only be organisationally active but also responsive to the needs of the community. ‘On this 48th anniversary, may AMPI continue to triumph, be present among the people, and keep making positive contributions to the nation and state,’ he said. The celebration began with a tumpeng cutting ceremony, followed by the social action of distributing hundreds of food packages to the public. ‘This activity symbolises that AMPI wants to be present not only in formal forums but also through real actions that can be directly felt by the community, especially residents around the Golkar Party Central Executive Board office,’ he concluded.
