The Golkar Party’s central executive board will hold this year’s National Easter Music Festival and Reflection. They will invite 3,500 congregants and party cadres.

The event will take place on 24 April 2026 at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta. This gathering, according to Deputy Chairman of the Golkar Central Executive Board Ace Hasan Syadzily, also serves as an occasion for maintaining ties.

“Insyaallah, we will invite 3,500 cadres and congregants in Jabodetabek. We hope this will further strengthen ties between Christian congregations facilitated by the Golkar Party’s central board,” said Ace during a press conference at the Golkar Central Executive Board building in West Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026).

Ace stated that the National Easter event is an internal party affair. They will invite several active organisations.

“We are organising this National Easter celebration internally, although we will also invite leaders from Christian religious organisations, starting from PGI, PWI, KWI, and other Christian religious organisations that have been very active in nurturing Christian communities,” he explained.

According to him, the invitations are also given as appreciation to organisations that have made significant contributions to the community. Thus, Golkar hopes their representatives can attend.

“Of course, as part of religious organisations that contribute to community development and nurturing Christian communities, we invite them and will ask them to attend the Golkar Party’s National Easter event,” he added.

The man, who is also the Governor of Lemhannas, said this activity demonstrates Golkar’s commitment as an inclusive party. He wants to show that Golkar is a party that embraces all religions.

“And to show the public that the Golkar Party is indeed an inclusive, open party that embraces all religions in Indonesia,” he said.

Furthermore, Committee Chairman Melki Laka Lena stated that the event will feature spiritual music performances and prayers for the nation. The agenda also includes social activities such as assistance for renovating Christian and Catholic churches, as well as support for orphanages and elderly homes for Christian, Catholic, and Muslim individuals.

“Then, as planned, up to Easter, we will also donate for the support of renovations for five churches in various regions across Indonesia, selecting those most in need. There will also be assistance for orphanages that are Protestant Christian, Catholic, and Muslim,” he said.
